50 teams selected for Joy Bangla Youth Award 2017

Young Bangla, a youth platform of non-profit policy research organisation Centre for Research and Information (CRI), has selected top 50 youth-led organisations for Joy Bangla Youth Award 2017.
The CRI announced the names of the 50 organisations, short-listed from 1,300 aspirants, on their Facebook page after a press briefing at a restaurant in Dhaka on Sunday.
Sabbir Bin Shams, executive director of CRI, said the Joy Bangla Award was not only a prize for positive work, but also an initiative to encourage the youth to become entrepreneurs.
The authorities have short-listed sports organisations for the first time this year, he added.
Joy Bangla Youth Award 2017 is scheduled to be held at Sheikh Hasina National Youth Complex in Savar on October 20-21.
Prime Minister’s ICT Affairs Adviser Sajeeb Wazed Joy will hand over the awards to 30 winners.
