Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina signed off on 61 emergency files during her stay in the United States, said her Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim from Washington on Tuesday.
He said: “The prime minister approved 16 files via email on Monday, her last day in the US and a total of 61 files during her stay in the US. Following her instruction, officials at the Prime Minister's Office sent her the top priority files using email.”
The press secretary also said the premier always maintained communication with her office during her US visit and sent out urgent instructions whenever they were required.
PM Sheikh Hasina left Washington for London on Tuesday morning Bangladesh time. She is scheduled to stay in the UK for three days and return to Dhaka on October 7.
