Missing Nilphamari youth found in Chittagong militant den

One of the five Harkat Ul Jihad Bangladesh (HujiB) members arrested by RAB from a militant den in Chittagong on Thursday has been identified as a youth who was abducted eight months ago from Nilphamari, a northern district of the country. Nur-e-Alam, son of one Abdul Kader alias Yakub Ali, is a graduate student of Nilphamari Govt College. “Some plain clothed people abducted Nur-e-Alam from his residence in Ukiler Mor of Nilphamari on April 11,” his family claimed. His mother Nur Nahar filed a general diary with Nilphamari Sadar police station a day later and lodged a petition case with Nilphamari Chief Judicial Magistrate Court on April 14. It was recorded as a kidnap case. “Nur-e-Alam, who was arrested in Chittagong raid by RAB, has been identified by his family that this very Nur-e-Alam went missing few months back,” said Nilphamari sadar police station Officer-in-Charge Md Babul Akter.
