‘Police is not weapon of political parties’

The IGP said those who did not want independence of Bangladesh, formed Razakars, Al-badars and Al-shams and killed 3 millions innocent Bengalees, molested 0.2 millions women along with the Pakistani forces were behind creating militancy to turn Bangladesh into Pakistan. “Militancy can never raise their heads or cause any harm to Bangladesh as the freedom-lover Bengalee will always foil their evil attempts,” he said. He said: “Police have successfully resisted fire terrorism and killing of innocent people even at the costs of their lives and they are always ready to ensure peace in the society by sacrificing lives in future.” He called upon members of police and community policing to become more active in creating public awareness to resist militancy and all evil forces involving common people for establishing peace to build a science-based, educated and developed nation.
