3 Jubo League activists shot dead

The bullet-riddled bodies of three suspected criminals, including the kingpin of Natore’s Sabbir Bahini, were found in Kolabaria area under Ghoraghat upazila of Dinajpur on Monday.

Hamidul Alam, superintendent of Dinajpur Police, said some miscreants allegedly picked the three young men up in a microbus on Saturday and went to an unknown place. A general diary was lodged with Natore Sadar police station in this connection, he said. Police suspected that miscreants might have killed them over previous enmity, said the SP. Dinajpur SP Hamidul Alam said: “They might have been killed by a rival group.” Meanwhile, the family members of the deceased confirmed the identities of the trio and claimed that they had been killed by RAB personnel. Rukhsana Begum, mother of Sabbir, said some people identifying themselves as RAB personnel picked her son up on Saturday. Since, he remained missing.
