PM mourns deaths of India’s rail crash

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has expressed deep shock at the loss of lives in a train accident in India, reports BSS. "I am deeply shocked and saddened at the tragic death of so many people and injury of scores others in a train accident in Uttar Pradesh in India," Hasina sent a condolence message to her Indian counterpart Narendra Modi. She added: "On behalf of the government and people of Bangladesh, and on my own behalf, I express my deepest condolences to you and through you to the people of India ... our thoughts and prayers are with the grieving families.” The premier prayed for salvation of the departed souls and wished early recovery of the injured. At least 100 people have been killed over 100 injured after 14 carriages of an Indian express train derailed in northern Uttar Pradesh state. The accident took place on the Indore-Patna Express at around 3am local time on Sunday, 100 kms away from Kanpur, reports Times of India.
