Ram Mohan was known as father of Indian animation
Known as the father of Indian animation, Ram Mohan has passed away at the age of 88.
Mohan, a veteran in the Indian animation industry, died Friday, reports Animation Express.
Popular animated TV series -- Meena -- particularly in the South Asia was one of his notable works.
Ram Mohan had started his career at the Cartoon Films Unit of Films Division of India in 1956.
Mohan was the chairman and chief creative officer at Graphiti Multimedia, a Mumbai-based animation company which was established in 1995. He also established the Graphiti School of Animation in 2006.
He was awarded the Padma Shri, India's fourth highest civilian award, in 2014.
