Another Bangladeshi held in India for terror links
Another Bangladeshi national has been arrested in India for having alleged links with two suspected members of banned Islamic militant outfit Ansarullah Bangla Team (ABT). The Special Task Force of the Kolkata police arrested Md Sahadat Hossain alias Babu, 26, from Sealdah on Friday, reports the Hindu. On Tuesday, Kolkata police arrested three people including two Bangladeshi nationals – Samsad Mia alias Tanvir, 26, and Rizaul Islam alias Riyaz alias Sumon, 25,– near Kolkata railway station. An Indian citizen - Monotosh De alias Mona Da, 46, - was also arrested with the duo from the Kolkata railway station.

A senior official told the Hindu that Babu had helped Tanvir and Riyaz cross the border and had also taken them to Hyderabad. The police said the duo had confessed that they had illegally entered India and had been staying in the country for one-and-a-half years. According to the police, Monotosh is an arms dealer, and the trio were placed on remand till December 5 by a city court earlier this week.
