At least 26 have been killed and 28 more injured after wall of a wedding hall collapsed during a heavy storm in India’s Rajasthan on Wednesday night.
The deceased include seven women and four children.
“The wall, which was nearly 90-foot long and 12-13 feet in height, collapsed when people took shelter during a storm,” Inspector General of Police Alok Vashishtha told PTI, reports NDTV.
He said the entire structure of the wall and the shed collapsed and they got trapped.
The injured were rushed to nearby hospitals immediately. The bodies have been shifted to a mortuary and postmortem will be conducted Thursday, police sources said.
