He was pronounced dead at the scene, said the police, adding that no other details were available at the time
Within 24 hours of Pathao co-founder Fahim Saleh’s gruesome murder, New York City authorities are investigating another death of a man who was found wrapped in a plastic bag on a McDonald's rooftop in the Bronx early Wednesday, reports News 4 of NBC New York citing police.
Police said they got a 911 emergency call about an unconscious person on the fast food chain’s rooftop on East 149th Street shortly before 6am (EST).
He was pronounced dead at the scene, said the police, adding that no other details were available at the time.
The medical examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine how the man died. The investigation is ongoing, police said.
It was the second grisly discovery in New York City within 24 hours. On Tuesday, a Bangladeshi tech entrepreneur Fahim Saleh was killed, dismembered and beheaded in his apartment in Manhattan, reported News 4.
The 33-year-old’s sister made the grisly discovery in the apartment around 3:30pm local time on Tuesday during a welfare check and called the New York Police Department (NYPD), reported different New York media outlets.
One senior New York Police Department (NYPD) official told News 4 the man's sister's welfare check may have disrupted the dismemberment; an electric saw was still plugged into the socket when police arrived at the scene.
According to the New York Post, sources described the killing of the Bangladeshi-American millionaire tech entrepreneur as an apparent targeted murder.
A law enforcement source said the crime scene looked like a “professional” killing because almost no blood was left behind and the apartment was not looted.
Fahim, a website developer-turned-venture capitalist, bought the East Houston Street condo at $2.25 million and moved into it late last year, media reports said citing records.
