A man shot two people at the law office where he worked, killing one, before also shooting himself in Long Beach, California, on Friday.
Police arrived at the scene to find the bodies of the gunman and one of the victims, while the other managed to drive himself to a hospital, said Long Beach police Sergeant Brad Johnson as quoted by USA Today.
Johnson added that the injured victim was in stable condition, while police did not have to fire any shots and a SWAT team sweep of the building revealed no other casualties.
He further said the attacker’s motive was yet to be discerned, though it was not the case of “an active shooter targeting as many people as possible.”
The building where the shooting took place houses three law firms, though police have not specified in which office the incident occurred.
