A lawnmower robot’s electronic cries for help have foiled a thief’s plan to make off with it in Germany.
German police said a homeowner in the western town of Lippstadt was surprised to receive a smartphone message from the robot that it had flipped upside down on Tuesday evening.
When he went outside to check on the device, he spotted a thief attempting to steal it, reports Deutsche Welle.
Caught in the act, the thief dropped the robot and fled, according to the police.

Police searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. They called for any possible witnesses to come forward.
