According to family sources, Abdul was conducting business in Brixton for the last eight years. He returned to South Africa recently, after a four-month stay in Bangladesh.

On Tuesday morning, a group of miscreants called him, and took him to a nearby vacant school campus and started assaulting him. They hit his head with a brick, brutally killing him on the spot.

Brixton police recovered the victim’s body and took it to the police station.

They mentioned that Abdul had a dispute with a Somali citizen over a shop building. He was also engaged in divorce proceedings with his wife back home, as they were not getting along. He sent money back home regularly due to the proceedings. Some of his wife’s relatives reside in South Africa.

However, none could confirm the cause of the murder or the suspects involved in the case.

When the news of Abdul’s death reached his hometown in Bangladesh, the entire area went into mourning.
