The organization is currently accepting donations to send to Palestine via the country's embassy in Dhaka
Bangladeshi non profit organization Poriborton Kori Foundation has taken an initiative to stand beside the Palestinians amid the ongoing crisis in Palestine.
The Founder of the organization Barrister Ahsan Bhuiyan and General Secretary Anusha Anowar met with the Palestinian Ambassador in Dhaka Yousef SY Ramadan at his office earlier on Tuesday to consult and figure out ways to aid the distressed citizens, read a press release published by Poriborton Kori.
Yousef SY Ramadan, has expressed his gratitude to the youth change-makers for their commendable initiative and said that he is overwhelmed with the support and calls he has received from Bangladeshis. He stated that currently considering logistical impediments, the best aid would be in the form of financial donations.
He has also mentioned that all the bKash mobile banking accounts of the embassy has been maxed out, and they are currently waiting for approval for a merchant account, added the release.
Barrister Ahsan Bhuiyan then immediately got the ambassador in touch with the Managing Director of Nagad Mishuk Tanvir and Chief Public Affairs Officer Solaiman Shukhon to help facilitate the opening of a Nagad account.
In addition, Barrister Ahsan contacted bKash authority to prompt the process of extending the transaction limit of the embassy existing bKash accounts.
As the embassy awaits approval for both their bKash and Nagad merchant accounts, Poriborton Kori is facilitating raising funds through its bKash and Nagad account number 01953335674 to give to the embassy.
The founder and members of the organization humbly urge the people of Bangladesh to come forward and help the brothers and sisters of Palestine in the time of their most humanitarian need.
