Police have handed over the charge of investigation into the two cases filed over the death of international model Raudha Athif to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
Senior Assistant Commissioner (AC) Iftekhar Alam of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police confirmed the matter to the Dhaka Tribune Saturday evening
Two cases --unnatural death and murder cases—were filed over the death of the medical student of Islami Bank Medical College.

The senior assistant commissioner said: “The documents of the cases were handed over to CID on Friday. They will now be investigating the cases.”
Rajshahi CID Additional Superintendent of Police Nazmul Karim Khan: “CID Inspector Asmaul Hoque will be investigating the cases. We have sent Raudha’s mobile phone and laptop to our forensic laboratory for testing.”
The Maldivian Vogue model was found dead at a dormitory of Islami Bank Medical College on March 29.

On April 10, Raudha’s father Dr Mohammad Athif filed a murder case with a Rajshahi Metropolitan Court and named Seerat Parvin Mohammad as the prime suspect. Seerat was Raudha’s classmate at the medical college.
