The MP made his prediction during the inauguration of a grand rally organised by Khagrachhari Hill District Council celebrating the 19th anniversary of the CHT peace accord on Friday morning.
MP Tripura acknowledged that CHT land disputes were a major problem and said the government had amended CHT Land Disputes Resolution Act in August this year.
“CHT land disputes resolution commission already started its activities aiming resolve the land disputes,” he said. “We will be able to establish permanent peace in CHT by resolving the land disputes and thus by the fullest implementation of the treaty,” MP Tripura added.
The rally was also attended by Khagrachhari Army Region Commader SM Mahabub Ul Alam, Khagrachhari Hill District Council Chairman Konjori Chowdhury, Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Wahiduzzaman, and Superintendent of Police Abdul Mazid.
