About a week ago, rapper Kanye West had a "nervous breakdown" ... which was probably triggered by the anniversary of his mother's death. People who are very close to the artist told TMZ that “he was increasingly becoming a powder keg of emotions in the weeks leading up to his hospitalisation at the UCLA Medical Center, fuelled by what we're told was a shocking lack of sleep and the pressures of touring, running his businesses, parenting and providing emotional support to his wife who was suffering her own emotional trauma after the Paris robbery.”
His mother's funeral was on November 20, the same day he cancelled his show at the L A Forum. The next day, he cancelled the rest of the tour and hours later, he suffered the breakdown.
Reports suggest that Kanye became paranoid when he was taken to UCLA, refusing for a time to even let doctors touch him. He also ranted that people were trying to ruin his marriage.
Later the rapper was sedated and is being treated by doctors. Doctors hoped to release him two days ago but it has been over two and the doctors are yet to confirm a new release date.
