In addition, the overall turnover during the first half of the current year also surpassed the target of that period.
According to statistics of sales department of Walton, during January-June period of 2016, the local brand posted more than about 50% growth in the sales of its produced fridges against the sales of the corresponding period of 2015, said a statement of the company.
Walton also witnessed about 58% growth in the turnover of its televisions, including color line and LED. In addition, about 241% growth was seen in the sales of LED televisions.
Like fridges and televisions, Walton is also experiencing a strong presence in the country’s electronics and electrical home appliances market.
During January to June’ 16, sales of Walton brand home appliances were gone up by about 78% against the sales of the same period of the previous year.
Witnessing huge customers’ demand for home and electrical appliances, the local brand is now manufacturing a wide range of home appliances in its own factory at Chandra in Gazipur.
The overall sales of Walton brand products increased by 45%in the first half of the current year due to improved quality, wide spread service points and reduced prices of products, said Md Rayhan, deputy director (marketing) of Walton Group.
Walton Group’s Executive Director and Chief Coordinator of Marketing Eva Rezwana said: “Achieving continuous growth in the business turnover through marketing world-class products is a special uniqueness of Walton brand.” She also hoped that the growth will remain in future.
