Bangladesh ICT-Expo-2016 is set to kick off on Thursday at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) in Dhaka.
The aim of the IT exposition is to promote local hardware industry in efforts to transform Bangladesh into a leading manufacturing country, reports BSS.
"As part of our massive digitization campaign, we are giving emphasis on developing local hardware industry to make it an important partner of building Digital Bangladesh by 2021," State Minister for ICT Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak said at a press conference at the BICC on Tuesday.
The three-day Bangladesh ICT-Expo is the largest hardware exposition in the country, he said.
"We are going to organise the mega hardware based show to give a further boost to the vision for building a technology advanced country."
A total of 14 seminars and sessions will be held during the three-day ICT expo, where nearly a good number of IT experts and top officials of different foreign companies will participate.
Local and international hardwire manufacturing companies are expected to participate in the ICT- expo.
