Some 407,586 cases are pending with the country’s Supreme Court, Law Minister Anisul Huq has said.
Replying to a query, Anisul on Monday told the parliament that currently a total of 407,586 cases are pending with the apex court.
He also said 394,225 cases are pending with the High Court while 13,361 cases are pending with the Appellate Division of the court.
Replying to another query, the law minister said currently a total of 30,787 smuggling cases are under trial.
