There are some 10,960 schools in a dilapidated condition across the country, Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid has said.
Replying to a query, Nahid on Sunday told the parliament that the condition of 10,960 educational institutions is ramshackle.
The minister also said the incumbent government has established 8,540 buildings in those tumbledown educational institutions in the two term tenure of the AL government.
Replying to another query, the minister said currently there are 16,282 Madrassas in the country approved by the Madrassa Board.
