A female lawyer of Chittagong court has filed a case with the court of Chittagong Metropolitan Magistrate accusing two members of Ansar battalion.
The lawyer filed the case on Monday as the two Ansar members allegedly beat up the driver of the lawyer on January 20 this year.
The accused were identified as-- Rokon and Zaheer.
CMP Additional Deputy Commissioner (Prosecution) Kazi Muttaki Ibn Minan said the case was filed with the court of Chittagong Metropolitan Magistrate Nure Alam Bhuiya.
Taking cognizance into the case, the court also asked the deputy director of Ansar Battalion to submit the report by January 26.
The case was filed under sections 307, 324, 325, 326, and 387 of Penal Code, he added.
On January 20, the accused Ansar men allegedly beat up the driver after a scuffle with them when the driver was parking the vehicle on the premises of Chittagong court building.
At one stage, the lawyer rushed to save the driver and then they also harassed her.
Soon after the incident, the District Bar Association demanded resignation of Chittagong deputy commissioner.
