A fire has broken out in a 15-storied building in the capital's Baily road area.
The fire originated around 6:30pm Friday at the fifth floor of the building, where an outlet of international fast-food chain KFC is also housed.
Fire Service and Civil Defence Duty Officer Bhujon Sarker told the Dhaka Tribune that being informed, three units of firefighters rushed to the spot. "They are trying to bring the blaze under control."
Reason behind the fire and the extent of the damage could not be known immediately, Ramna police station Inspector (investigation) Ali Hossain said.
