Members of Rapid Action Battalion have arrested three persons from different areas of the capital for allegedly propagating against the state and the government using the internet.
The arrestees are Tawhid Zaman, 21, Tanvir Ahmed, 18, and Omar Faruk, 22. They were arrested from different areas of the capital around 2am Thursday.
In a press briefing, RAB 2 Deputy Director Didarul Alam said the arrestees used to spread anti-state and anti-governement contents through using social media platform via alternative ways.
Of the arrestees, Tawhid is involved with Jamaat-Shibir's politics.
The arrestees are also involved in hacking, said the RAB official.
