More than words

Red Shift Coffee Lounge is proud to present Dhaka with the rare opportunity to watch a world-class mime performance by Laurent Decol - a leading French performer who has a stellar international reputation. Laurent Decol was privileged to be a student of the legendary performer Marcel Marceau. He graduated from and subsequently became a Professor at the Marcel Marceau Paris International School of Mimodrama.

Decol’s mono-performance, Words of Silence, is a reflection on twelve of the existential human issues such as love, life and creativity. Since no speech is involved, communication is universal. In the words of the New York Times, “He is a worthy successor to Charles Chaplin, Marcel Marceau or Buster Keaton….an incredibly talented artist who makes us smile and moves us to laughter and tears.

Students of body movement, dance and drama will not want to miss this one-of-a-kind performance at Red Shift on Wednesday, November 25, at 7pm. Decol has crafted a performance that aims to delight children and adults alike – ensuring an enjoyable evening for those who will be lucky enough to be a part of it.

Dhaka Tribune is the proud media partner for the event. Tickets for the show are available at Red Shift for Tk600 or online at www.imdhaka.com for Tk660. Seats are limited so be sure to book early.
