Update : 03 Nov 2015, 09:39 PM

A 12-year-old girl was hacked to death and her mother and younger sister was stabbed indiscriminately by miscreants in Paterbagh of Dhaka’s Kadamtoli area last night.

Shoheli, 12, was a sixth grader and daughter of Selim, a Bangladeshi expatriat living in Italy.

Her mother Shahida Mridha, 35, and sister Shahara, 7, were also attacked by the miscreants and are currently undergoing treatment at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s Deputy Commissioner Nurul Haq said seven assailants entered the house on the sixth floor of the building around 8:15pm and hacked the three.

Later, neighbours took them to the DMCH where duty doctors declared Shoheli dead.

DMCH emergency department doctors said that the condition of Shahida and Shahara was critical. The little girl’s condition was said to be particularly crticial because of acute bleeding.
