This past Friday, several hundred men and women came across this wonderful experience at the East Court of the Jamuna Future Park shopping mall in Dhaka. Fashion house Amber Lifestyle was the organiser of this unique evening. But their aim was not just to have live music for shoppers. It was accompanied by exhibition of exclusive fashion for men, women, and children. There was also a stand up comedy show, something that has become quite popular in the city circuits of late. Overall, the idea was to give the shoppers a complete lifestyle experience.
The programme was called Amber Presents Reality Lifestyle Show.
According to the organisers, advertisements often talk about making the shopping experience enjoyable. But in the true sense, all that can be done is making shopping comfortable and convenient.
For the urbanites, shopping itself has become an entertainment. The lifestyle show blended mainstream entertainment with the experience of shopping. The idea was to make sure that nobody misses the reality shows on television, after a visit to the mall.
After seeing the overwhelming response and appreciation of this unique programme, the organisers are now planning to arrange many more such evenings in the near future.
