Ghaashphoring Choir's midnight show tonight

The recently launched Ghaashphoring Choir, founded, directed and led by musician Armeen Musa, is hosting a midnight performance tonight at Food Republic in Banani. 

The show will begin at 11:55pm, and continue till 2am, in order for the audience to have time to catch Sehri afterwards. 

Formed in January 2015, the vocal group is confident to give an account of early pieces by SD Burman, Kazi Nazrul Islam and interestingly, some contemporary pieces by Arnob and Souls. They had their debut performance in May. 

Armeen Musa has done the musical arrangement and direction with special input from the choir and band. The choir includes Ashna, Ariba, Lamia, Sadia, Samira, Rushnaf, Ullash and Armeen herself. The Ghaashphoring Band is accompanying them with Moinak on guitars, Sanjay on bass and Shihab on drums and percussion.

Tickets are being sold at Tk 500 for entrance, with a free drink from Food Republic. They are available at Food Republic or on imdhaka.com.
