“The bill was passed in the Indian parliament after 40 years and I must thank the Modi government for this. Modi said he did it to establish friendly ties with Bangladesh. He also said he wants to build a friendly relationship with the people of Bangladesh, and not with any party. This is something the BNP also wants”

Thanking Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for ratifying the Land Boundary Agreement in his country’s parliament, BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia yesterday said this would help establish a friendly relationship between the two neighbouring states.

“We will not bow down to undemocratic forces and we must continue our struggle.”

BNP spokesman Asaduzzaman Ripon alleged that various conspiracies are being hatched to destroy the opposition.
