Awami League presidium member Kazi Zafarullah has said BNP is conspiring to turn Bangladesh into a failed state through anarchy.
But the people would resist this conspiracy at any cost, he added while speaking as chief guest in a triennial council of Magura district Awami League on Sunday.
Zafarullah said terrorism cannot overthrow the government.
Tanzel Hossain Khan, convener of the council preparation committee, presided over the council, held at the Nomani Maidan in Magura.
AL Joint Secretary Generals Mahbubul Alam Hanif and Zahangir Kabir Nanok were special guests at the programme, where Youth and Sports State Minister Biren Sikder MP, Kamrul Laila Jolly MP, MS Akbar MP and the prime minister’s APS Saifuzzaman Shekhor spoke at the council, among others.
MS Akbar was elected as president and Pankaj Kumar Kundu as general secretary of Magura district Awami League.
