The government will implement 4G network services by 2021, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s ICT Affairs Adviser Sajeeb Wazed Joy has said.
He made the statement while addressing the inaugural function of 25,000 laptop distribution among the 18,000 government officials at the capital’s Agargaon on Thursday afternoon.
Joy said: "The bidding for the 4G services will be held by 2016 and its serviced will be implemented by the tenure of this ruling Awami League government."
“Bangladesh will not lag behind. Our effort to make a ‘Digital Bangladesh’ is underway. We have already introduced the 3G services.”
