Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed has thanked the BNP for being able to realise that their protest before the national election bore no fruits.
The minister made the statement while addressing a seminar organised by the Canadian High Commission in capital's Lake Shore hotel on Wednesday morning.
He said: “I thank the BNP for being able to realise that their protest before the January 5 election did not bring any profit to them and it will not bring in future either.”
“BNP shall wait till 2019 for the next election, he said.
Tofail Ahmed also hoped for the unity of the political parties in the sphere of economy.
