The workers of five garment factories of Tuba Group have warned of tougher programmes if their demands are not met.

The warning came on Sunday, on the seventh day of their fast-unto-death programme demanding three months’ outstanding wages and Eid bonuses.

Garments Sramik Oikya Forum President Moshrefa Mishu made the caution, according to a private TV report.

The five units of Tuba Group are Tuba Fashion, Tuba Textile, Mita Design, Taif Design and Bughsan Garments.

As of Saturday, more than 90 of the agitators fell ill. Of them, 20 were admitted to Badda General Hospital and Gonoshasthaya Nagar Hospital.

The Tuba Group workers began a hunger strike from Tuesday on Eid-day demanding their dues of the last three months.
