Jatiya Party Presidium member Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu has been appointed as an adviser to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The PM has named Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu as her adviser under the rule 3B (i) of the Rules of Business, 1996, according to an official note issued on Monday.
Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu will enjoy the rank and status, salary, allowances and other facilities similar to a full minister.
Earlier in the day, Bablu took oath along with his other party members to be part of the polls-time cabinet.
The other Jatiya Party leaders, who sworn in as the new cabinet members are Rowshan Ershad, Anisul Islam Mahmud, Ruhul Amin Hawlader, Mujibul Haque Chunnu and Salma Islam.
Six new ministers and two state ministers took oath today. Of the ministers, two are from Awami League, five from Jatiya and one from the Workers Party.
Bablu was the State Minister for energy during Ershad's regime. His position as an advisor will be valid until the tenure of the all-party interim government is over.
