A man was critically injured in a road accident in the capital and succumbed to his injuries on Saturday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Abu Bakkar, 65, son of Najmul of Kachua, Chandpur.
A bus hit the sexagenarian at Sayedabad bus stand, leaving him critically injured.
Nur Islam, an ambulance driver, took him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead around 4:30pm.
Rafiqul Islam, officer in charge of Zattrabari Police Station, said the body was sent to the morgue for autopsy.
The bus could not be identified as the driver managed to flee the scene.
