Kiwis lead Tigers by 85 runs

The visiting New Zealand took lead by 85 runs in their second innings of the first Test match against Bangladesh at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury stadium in Chittagong on Saturday.

After the over-40, they reached 117 for one at stumps on day 4 at Jahur Ahmed Stadium.

Earlier in the day, Bangladesh star all-rounder Sohag Gazi’s unbeaten century took the Tigers to a respectable total of 501 and a lead of 32 runs. Gazi also showed off his supreme spinning abilities, helping the Tigers to minimise the damage of the Kiwi batsmen.

The fifth day of the Test will commence at 9am to compensate for the interruption of the rain.

A second Test Match is scheduled to take place in Dhaka from October 21 to 25.
