GP reduces P1 tariff by 50%

Update : 14 Jul 2013, 11:29 AM

Grameenphone, leading mobile phone operator in the country, has introduced a new Pay As You Go internet pack (P1) at 50% reduced price from existing price.

Customers using the new internet PAYGopack will be charged only Tk.01 (1 paisa) per KB internet usage, sources said.

Also in order to eliminate any form of bill shock, GP has best in class feature such as monthly bill cap at Tk300 (within 30 days cycle).

Thus, if a customer consumes Tk300 within 30 days, then the internet browsing option for the customer will be disabled for that period and the customer will not be able to use internet until opting in for another or the same internet package.

If customers take no action after reaching the Tk300 limit, their internet connection will be opened again after the end of 30 days cycle.

Earlier, other mobile operators reduced their P1 package tariff 25%, and Grameenphone then took 15 days more time for introducing it.
