Abdul Hamid Sarker, councillor and standing committee member of Finance and Establishment Department of Rajshahi City Corporation has announced Tk3.09b proposed budget of RCC for the fiscal 2013-’14.
He announced the budget at a press conference held at Sharit Dutta Conference room on Thursday.
The proposed budget is, however, less by Tk 710m than the proposed budget of previous 2012-’13 fiscal year.
There in no proposal of increase of taxes in the budget rather the salary of the daily worked charged basis employees has been increased through ensuring discipline in financial sector and controlling of wastes. The budget meeting was presided over by Mustaque Hossain, Councillor of Ward 20.
Abdul Hamid Sarker said in 2012-’13 the revised budget of RCC stood at Tk 2.35b as against the proposed budget of Tk 3.81b while the budget of Tk 3.09b for 2013-’14 was approved unanimously.
The meeting was attended by Ward Councillor Sajjad Hossain of ward 4, Councillor Ansar Ali of ward-28, Abdus Sobhan Liton of ward-15 and Anowarul Amin Azab of Ward-27.
