Shantanu Biswas will perform in a musical evening on Saturday at the Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre in Gulshan.
Born in Chittagong, Shantanu Biswas was initiated to music at an early stage as a disciple of Ustad Sourindrolal Das Gupta. He was later trained under Ustad Nirod Baran Barua and also received training in Western classical and folk music under Brother Hammel, an accomplished musician.
Shantanu Biswas is an enlisted artist in Bangladesh TV and Radio as singer, lyrist and composer. He has released several solo and mixed music albums. His first album “Chirkut’’ was released in 2010 and the second album “Postman” in 2012. He is currently working on another solo project titled “Khorkuto’’ scheduled to be released this August during Eid.
