The disciplinary committee of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) served Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club coach Joseph Afusi a show-cause notice yesterday after the coach had reportedly assaulted the referee in the Bangladesh Premier League match against Sheikh Russell Krira Chakra on Sunday. The committee also banned Feni Soccer Club manager Anwar Hossain Babul for six-months and in addition fined the club Tk100,000 for creating anarchy in the field during their home match against Sk. Jamal on April 26. Two players of the Feni based club, Lutfor Rahman Nayan and Arafat Ali Rony were also fined Tk15,000 each for the same reason. Meanwhile, Bangladesh Championship League team Rahmatganj MFS coach Kamal Babu, equipment manager Jamal Uddin and media officer Iqbal Uddin have been warned of severe consequences if they repeat their misconduct. They were accused of verbally abusing the referee after a penalty decision went against them during a match against Chittagong Abahani on April 19.
