Five unnatural deaths in three nights

Five dead bodies have been recovered from various locations at different times in the city between Tuesday night and Thursday morning, police sources said.

On Tuesday night, police found the hanging body of Raju Ahmed, 18,at a house in Dokkhin Monipur of Mirpur.

Police said Raju may have committed suicide.

On Wednesday, Abul Kalam Azad, 25, died after falling into a manhole at Hazaribagh. The deceased’s body was sent to the Mitford Hospital morgue in the wee hours of the day.

Police say he may have died from poisoning.

The same night, police found another dead body identified as Majeda Aktar, 19, at Fayedabad area of Dokkhinkhan thana. According to police, she committed suicide by poisoning herself. She hailed from the East Chandura area of Mymensingh.

Aman identified as Saeed Hossain was found hanging from a ceiling fan at his residence in Sector 8, Uttara. He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead on Wednesday at 10:30pm.

On Thursday, police found the dangling body of Nazir Ahmed, 48, at the balcony of his residence in Mohammadi housing at around 8:30am.
