5,384 women completed online registration

 

A total of 5,384 enthusiastic jobseeker women completed online registrations for getting jobs abroad as the five-day registration process ended on Thursday in all the eight districts under Rangpur division, reports BSS.

According to official sources, the jobseeker completed their online reiterations at a cost of only Taka 100 at the City Information Service Centres (CISC) and Union Information Service Centres (UISC) in the division in a hassle-free manner.

Rangpur City Corporation (RCC), concerned district and upazila administrations in association with other bodies conducted the registration process for outgoing jobseeker women with the assistances of the Access to Information (A2I) Programme of the Prime Minister's Office.

In Rangpur, 1,418 women completed their registrations, of them 579 at 14 CISCs in the RCC area and 839 others at 76 UISCs in all eight upazilas under the imitative of the Manpower Employment Bureau Office like in the other districts in the division.

Besides, 970 women have completed their registrations in Dinajpur, 495 in Nilphamari, 685 in Thakurgaon, 668 in Gaibandha, 339 in Lalmonirhat, 430 in Kurigram and 279 women aged between 25 and 45 years completed their registrations in Panchagarh districts.

Earlier, deputy commissioner of Rangpur Farid Ahammad inaugurated the process at Tapodhan CISC on last Sunday (April 7).

According to official sources, online registrations of the jobseeker female workers, aged between 25 and 45 years, for jobs in Hong Kong, Singapore, Mauritius, Jordan and other Middle East countries conducted in 91 centres in Rangpur district alone.

Among the candidates, the female housekeepers will get Taka 40,000 as monthly salary after appointment in Hong Kong and Singapore. Those who having nursing diplomas, would get salaries ranging between Taka 50,000 and Taka 85,000.

The housekeepers and workers for garments, food processing, cleaning, receptionists, fruit plucking and farm-labourers should have class eight qualifications and be smart enough to earn monthly salary of Taka 15,000 in Mauritius, Jordan or other countries.

Huge rush of the women jobseeker candidates was observed at the UISCs and CISCs on the last date of registration today both in rural and urban areas in Rangpur division for their online registrations to get employments abroad, sources said.
