Bangabandhu’s historic March 7 speech to go 3D
The Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division has undertaken a project to promote Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s historic March 7 speech all over the world. The project - named “Pita (father) 3D” - will include the conversion of the March 7 speech into a 3D version, the development of apps, and the making of Virtual Reality (VR) games. “Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman is an inspiration for all the freedom-loving people across the world, therefore we have taken multifarious initiatives to spread his March 7 speech by using modern technology,” said State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak.

The state minister said project Pita 3D had been approved with a view to spreading knowledge of the father of the nation to the young generation. “We have developed a coloured version of that historic speech and made the Bangabandhu App public in order to spread his works, sacrifices and thoughts among people all over the world,” Palak said. “We have to let the young generation know how Bangabandhu gradually prepared a whole nation for the Liberation War, and how a speech brought about the independence of the nation.” Earlier on Monday, Unesco recognised the historic March 7 speech by Bangabandhu as part of the world’s documentary heritage.
