Premier Bangladeshi archer Ruman Shana's poor form continued in the World Archery Championship which is being held in Youngstown, USA.
In the elimination round of the recurve men's singles event, Ruman lost to Musolesi Fedirico of Italy by 6-0 sets.
Another Bangladeshi archer Hakim Ahmed Rubel however, offered some resistance as he beat Haliulek Michal of the Czech Republic by 6-4 sets and moved to the last 16 defeating Ricardo Soto of Chile by 7-3 sets.
Hakim though eventually lost to Steve Wijler of the Netherlands by 6-4 sets.
Meanwhile, Ram Krishno Saha beat Luis Goncalves of Portugal by 6-2 sets, but failed to keep the tempo as he lost to Luis Alvarez of Mexico by 6-4 sets.
Earlier, Ruman finished 46th among 720 participants after scoring 336 in the qualification round of the men's recurve singles event.
Krishno and Hakim finished 27th and 50th after scoring 642 and 633 respectively in the qualification round of the men's recurve singles section.
On the other hand, women's archer Beauty Roy also continued her poor form as she got eliminated after losing to Denisa Barankova of Slovakia by 6-4 sets in the recurve women's singles event.
Beauty had earlier finished 72nd among 720 participants after scoring 551 in the qualification round of the recurve women's singles event.
In the compound men's singles elimination round event, Asim Kumar Das narrowly beat Ramon Lopez of Spain by 143-142 score, but went on to lose to Jozef Bosanky of Slovakia by 146-145 score in his next match.
In the men's compound division qualification round, Asim had ended 58th among 720 participants after scoring 674.
Overall, the Bangladesh team's fortunes also did not improve as Ruman, Krishno and Hakim lost to their Belgium rivals by 3-5 sets in the elimination round of the men's recurve team event.
After the opening set ended on an equal 55-55, Bangladesh were unable to take the initiative as Ruman and Hakim lost the second set 50-57 and eventually lost the third and fourth sets 53-58 and 53-54 respectively.
In the recurve mixed team event, the Bangladesh team containing Krishno and Beauty ended 28th among 32 countries after scoring 1193.
