Syed Mohammad Mamun became champion and Dhaka Tribune’s Fazley Rabbi Moon became runners-up in the single section of the table tennis event of Walton-BSJA (Bangladesh Sports Journalist Association) festival that got underway on Wednesday.
Moon lost to Mamun in the competitive final at the Shahid Tajuddin Ahmed Wooden Floor Stadium of the capital where Ramin Talukdar and Mehedi Hasan became champion in the pair event.
Earlier in the morning, Walton’s executive director Iqbal bin Anwar Don was present as the chief guest of the opening ceremony where vice president of Bangladesh Tennis Federation Khandakar Munir Hossain was present as a special guest among the top officials of BSJA.
