Bangladesh bagged its second gold medal in the 13th South Asian Games when Al Amin Islam clinched gold in the men's 60kg kumite event in karate at Satdobato International Sports Complex in Kathmandu Tuesday.
Al Amin beat Pakistani karateka in the final by four points to secure the top place. Nepal won bronze in the same event which was the day's first event of karate.
Meanwhile, Marzan Akter Priya bagged second gold of the day in women's -55kg kumite event beating Pakistani karateist Kouser Sana by 4-3 points in the final.
Bangladesh won two silvers and seven bronzes in Karate on Monday.
Earlier, Bangladesh won its first gold medal in taekwondo on Monday when Dipu Chakma clinched gold in the 29+ age category in poomsae event.
