Bangladesh Special Olympics contingent continued their impressive run as they accumulated 38 medals including 22 golds till Wednesday evening at the ongoing 2019 Special Olympics World Summer Games in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
The tournament, consisting of almost 7,000 athletes from 190 countries around the world, started on 14th March and it will continue till 21st March.
Bangladesh sent a 139-person contingent which is taking part in athletics, bocce, swimming, badminton, table tennis, handball (men’s unified), handball (women), football (men’s unified), football (women’s unified), volleyball and basketball (unified).

Bangladesh, who have clinched 10 silvers and six bronze medals other than the gold medals, added 13 medals including six gold medals on Tuesday.
The Bangladesh contingent will return home on Friday after Thursday’s final ceremony.
