Quantum Foundation lifted the title of Cute Premier Handball League 2018 for the first ever time after beating Old Ideals by 40-15 on the final day of the meet at M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium on Tuesday.
Arambagh Krira Sangha became runners-up despite handing Dhaka Mariner Youngs Club a crushing defeat of 77-14 in the day's second match while last edition's champions Narinda Pragati Boys Club finished third after beating Prime Sporting Club 46-38 in the last game of the league.

Both Arambagh and Narinda are only two points behind the champions but the goal-difference put the former side ahead for the runners-up title. Arambagh also scored league's highest 422 goals. Meanwhile, Bangla Club and the Mariners placed at fourth and fifth respectively.
Last time the handball league was held in 2014 when Narinda became champions for the second time with Prime SC finishing runners-up. Prime placed at sixth this time with only four wins in nine matches.
Chief of Army General Abu Belal Muhammad Shafiul Huq, president of Bangladesh Olympic Association, handed over the prizes among the winners as chief guest.
