Wohaimong secures bronze in Singapore

Wohaimong Marma put up his best display in the vaulting table event where he ended third with 9.25 points out of 10

Youngster Wohaimong Marma secured bronze medal in the vaulting table event of the 15th Singapore Open Gymnastic Championships in Singapore Sunday.

The 12-year old gymnast from Bandarban's Quantum Cosmo School competed in the age-group category of 12-14 years old and finished sixth in the all around category with 46 points.

Wohaimong, representing Bangladesh Gymnastic Federation in the competition, put up his best display in the vaulting table event where he ended third with 9.25 points out of 10. Kenzi Kang of Singapore's Prime Gymnastic Club won gold with 9.7 points, and also clinched top spot in the all around category.

Wohaimong was placed fourth in the still rings event with 9.1 points and fifth in the parrallel bars with 8.55 points. He was placed sixth in the floor exercise, pommel horse and high bars with 8, 7.8 and 3.3 points respectively.
