Khulna, Sylhet and Kurigram into Independence Cup Kabaddi semis
Khulna, Sylhet and Kurigram advanced to the semi-finals of the Bashundhara Group Independence Cup Kabaddi 2018 in Paltan's Shaheed Tajuddin Indoor Stadium Saturday. Khulna progressed to the last four as Group A champion while Sylhet finished as the runners-up side. Kurigram meanwhile, qualified for the semis from Group B.

The first semi-final will be held at the same venue Sunday at 8:30am while the second last-four clash will begin an hour later. The final will be held on the same day at 4pm. State Minister for Youth and Sports Dr. Sri Biren Sikder, MP, will distribute prizes at the presentation ceremony. In Saturday's first match, Bagura beat Mymensingh by 54-34 points while in the other games of the day, Kurigram defeated Madaripur by 58-46 points, Sylhet beat Khulna by 45-35 points, Barishal defeated Chattogram by 47-27 points, Sylhet beat Bagura by 31-29 points, Khulna defeated Mymensingh by 79-22 points while Kurigram beat Chattogram by 40-16 points. Group A: Bagura, Khulna, Mymensingh and Sylhet Group B: Kurigram, Barishal, Madaripur and Chattogram
